We follow the National Curriculum for England which can be viewed or downloaded by clicking here.
Each topic covers all the foundation subjects apart from RE and MFL. The children will also use the skills learnt in English and Maths within each topic.
There is also a daily English and Maths lesson taught. We follow The Little Wandle Letter and Sounds scheme to teach phonics in EYFS and Year 1.
Whilst RE is not part of the National Curriculum, there is a statutory requirement, under the 1988 Education Reform Act, that it should form part of the school’s curriculum. School uses the Derbyshire Agreed Syllabus and the Understanding Christianity resource. Parents have a right to withdraw their child from these lessons if they wish. Please feel free to discuss this with the Headteacher.
